Drew Nilsen, 13, became an angel December 16, 2002 due to complications from heart transplant surgery.
Drew was born with a single ventricle and several heart defects, and had endured several heart surgeries. Despite his heart condition, he was active in school and sports, including baseball where he was an all-star pitcher in Little League for several years. Daniel Awakuni, was 3 yrs. 10 mos. when he became an angel on Sept. 26, 2004. He was born with HLHS, TAPVR, DORV, and other defects.
From his loving parents:
"Danny was truly a little angel here on earth. He had a wonderful gift of being able to touch a person's heart and immediately endear himself to all those who came into contact with him. His smile, his laugh, his reserved demeanor, his curiosity, and his caring, concerned attitude collectively gave him the ability to draw in those around him. He brought our family closer together. Although medical science said his heart did not develop properly, we know his heart was full of love and in God's eyes, was perfect. God has taken him away too soon but now Danny, you get your wish, we have to listen to you. Danny is now our little angel in heaven."
