Free PT/OT/Speech Therapies - Regional Centers provide Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy and other services to children who have disabilities, or are at risk of delays due to medical conditions. Services are free to families, regardless of income or insurance. Starlight grants wishes for seriously ill children between the ages of 4 and 18 years old, and provides outings for families. This organization also provides special play areas and equipment for children at various hospitals. Some of the services provided include: Starlight Sites - inviting hospital environments created to provide pediatric patients with a place to relax, play and interact with others while at the hospital; Starlight Fun Centers - mobile entertainment unit containing a Sharp flat-screen monitor, DVD player and Nintendo GameCube system; and Starlight PC Pals - a mobile personal computer encased in a colorful and appealing kiosk that travels easily within a hospital facility.
